Dave’s Hot Sauce started the same way most questionable adventures do, outside in the Texas heat, surrounded by peppers, dirt, and an idea that got a little out of hand. What began as a backyard garden project quickly turned into a full-blown obsession: growing peppers, roasting peppers, and finally bottling up every bit of that homegrown fire into sauces that taste like they came straight from the heart of a pepper patch.
Every bottle I make starts in my Pflugerville garden, where the peppers get more attention than most houseplants deserve. Komodo Dragons, Ghostly Jalapeños, Biquinhos, Habaneros, Serranos, tomatillos; if it grows well under the Texas sun, I've probably planted it. I harvest by hand, experiment in small batches, and let the flavor lead the way. No shortcuts. No mass-production. Just careful roasting, charring, blending, tasting, adjusting, and tasting again… sometimes too many times.
The sauces themselves reflect the whole operation: playful, bold, and always rooted in the garden. Smoke Show brings the deep, roasted warmth of my smoked red peppers. Hot Head pushes the heat a little further with its bright citrusy burn. Greenhorn keeps things fresh and friendly with tomatillos straight from the garden beds. Each one is crafted with the same backyard spirit, simple ingredients, honest heat, real flavor.
Dave’s Hot Sauce isn’t a factory. It’s just me, a backyard full of peppers, a kitchen that constantly smells like roasted garlic, and a mission to bottle the kind of flavor that makes people smile, sweat, and come back for more.
Welcome to my garden. Welcome to the heat. And welcome to Dave’s Hot Sauce, where it’s always Pepper Burnin’ Belly Time.
